It is harvest time for apples, pears and grapes, essential for many of our recipes. The cooler temperatures also encourage us to enjoy warmer, more comforting dishes such as soups and stews. Autumn also marks the beginning of the mushroom season, making it a perfect time for food lovers who enjoy the flavours of nature. It is also the time to prepare our pantries for winter, stocking up on preserves and dried fruits and nuts that will accompany us through the colder months.
