El Rincón de la Abuela offers a warm and cosy atmosphere, with a rustic décor reminiscent of a traditional Spanish house. We were told it was once a convent. The walls are adorned with antique photographs and wooden elements, creating a relaxed family atmosphere, ideal for enjoying a relaxed meal in the Sierra de Guadarrama.

Service
The service stood out for its friendliness and professionalism, despite the fact that our visit was on a public holiday and the place was practically full. The staff were attentive and always willing to recommend dishes and wines to ensure we had a pleasant and personalised experience. We met the owner who, like the rest of the staff, was very friendly and helpful.
Value for money
We think that the value for money is good as we could see in the menu because, on this occasion we went with some friends and they were kind enough to invite us, so we have few complaints (we can't provide the payment note, as usual). El Rincón de la Abuela is an excellent option for those looking to enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine in a cosy, family atmosphere. With impeccable service and dishes that stand out for their flavour and presentation, it is a place that invites repeat visits.
Grilled prawns
Fresh and perfectly cooked, it is one of the most requested dishes which, of course, we ordered on our visit. Excellent. As a small detail, they were a little raw, but as they came very hot, they were very good.
Squid Andalusian style/grilled squid
Very good, well made and with an excellent product.
Baby lamb cutlets
Excellent too, it is true that it is a simple dish, but sometimes it is not easy to get them to the table in perfect temperature and preparation. Very tasty.
Other highlights
- Cocochas a la romana: Like the rest of the menu, with a good quality product, and well prepared.
- Russian salad: Although we don't like to put carrots in it, it turned out that, as it was cut very small, it didn't take centre stage and gave it a special flavour. Remarkable.
- Pijotas. An Andalusian dish if ever there was one, but also made with a very pleasant frying and, like everything else, with a high quality product.
