The baked sea bass with prawns is an elegant and delicious dish that combines the mildness of the fish with the juiciness of the prawns. Ideal for a special meal or to enjoy a simple but sophisticated recipe.

Ingredients (for 4 people):

  • 2 sea bass open and clean (without bones and head)
  • 200 g peeled prawns (can be frozen, defrost beforehand)
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 100 ml of dry white wine
  • 50 ml of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsleychopped (optional)

Elaboration:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. Place the open sea bass in an ovenproof dish, skin side down. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, white wine, paprika, chopped garlic and lemon juice. Stir well to integrate all the ingredients.
  4. Brush the sea bass with the above mixture, making sure to cover the entire surface of the fish.
  5. Bake the sea bass for 12-15 minutes, depending on size, until the flesh is tender and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Meanwhile, sauté the prawns in a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of salt for 2-3 minutes, until pink.
  7. Remove the sea bass from the oven and place the sautéed prawns on top. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy this spectacular dish.
Suggestions for presentation:
  • Serve with a side of baked potatoes or a fresh salad.
  • Garnish with a few slices of lemon for a touch of colour and freshness.
Additional advice:
  • If you use frozen prawns, be sure to defrost them completely and dry them well before cooking to avoid excess water.
  • For a spicy touch, you can add a pinch of hot paprika to the seasoning mixture.
